Foreign Office issues update for winter sun destinations including Dubai and Turkey
Holidaymakers heading to popular winter sun destinations including Dubai and Morocco have been issued a travel warning by the UK Foreign Office. The alert comes amid ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran in the Middle East.
The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office issued travel updates for the United Arab Emirates - including Dubai, Morocco, Egypt, Turkey and Cyprus due to “regional escalation”. British Nations are urged to monitor the FCDO’s travel advice and the media closely.
Holidaymakers are warned that tensions between Israel and Lebanon could “escalate” and “pose risks for the wider region”. The latest update comes after Israel carried out military action against Iran.

The update says: “Ongoing hostilities in the region and between Israel and Lebanon could escalate quickly and pose risks for the wider region. On 1 October, Iran launched around 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. On 26 October Israel carried out military action against Iran.”
