Footage: Leeds star has just made a huge fan gesture behind the scenes

Leeds United fans will love to see what Kalvin Phillips has been doing away from the pitch as fresh footage has emerged.

There has been a lot of talk over the last few months about the future of Kalvin Phillips. Even under former manager Marcelo Bielsa, there had been some chat about whether or not the pair had a falling-out, something the midfielder swiftly denied.

Phillips finally made his Leeds United comeback on Saturday as he was handed a cameo appearance during their 1-1 draw against Southampton.

The 26-year old went to a young Leeds fan’s house to celebrate his birthday, showing that the midfielder truly has the club and its fanbase in his heart, something that’s very rare in modern-day football.

This footage is what has endeared Phillips so much to the Leeds fans. He’s a local lad that’s come through the club’s academy, is in talks to sign a new contract despite interest from clubs higher up in the league table and there appears to be little more that he could do to set himself on his way to becoming a Leeds United legend.

If Phillips does end up leaving Leeds, fans will surely know that it would be down to a footballing decision and that the club haven’t been able to match his ambitions of playing at the top level, something he probably deserves given he’s an England regular.
