Fonseca benches Chukwueze as Milan field changed squad against Liverpool

AC Milan are preparing for today’s Champions League game against Liverpool, and Paulo Fonseca is expected to start Alvaro Morata and Fikayo Tomori, reports football-italia.net.

Both players started on the bench on Saturday night in a comfortable 4-0 win over Veneziaat San Siro. Tomori spent the whole game on the bench, while Morata was introduced in the second half.

Tammy Abraham started his first Milan match on Saturday and scored from the spot against Venezia, but Morata is expected to start for the Rossoneri against Liverpool.

Davide Calabria has also returned from an injury and trained with the group, yesterday morning, so he’ll fight for a starting spot with Emerson Royal.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tijjani Reijnders will likely be confirmed in the middle of the park alongside Youssouf Fofana, while Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao will get the nod on the flanks, keeping Super Eagles’ star, Samuel Chukwueze, on the bench.
