Floyd Mayweather's bizarre trailer for 2018 Tenshin Nasukwa fight may never be beaten

Floyd Mayweather really has done it all.

Having meticulously crafted one of the greatest boxing careers in history, he then went on to ‘diversify his portfolio’ in a way that only befits the way he likes to live his life.

Mayweather took on UFC superstar Conor McGregor in a titanic crossover event that saw him earn an eye-watering sum of money before he turned to YouTuber Logan Paul to keep the ATM whirring.

Now, he has turned his attention to one of his most ambitious events as he prepares to fight Don Moore on the helicopter pad of the world-famous Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.

However, even after the dust has settled on his precariously perched exhibition, it still won’t be the most bizarre combat sports event he has ever been involved in.

That title will always belong to his baffling fight with Japanese kick-boxer, Tenshin Nasukawa.

Mayweather was due to battle it out with Nasukawa in Tokyo on New Year’s eve in 2018 but, so little did he care about the fight, that he didn’t even bother to do a training camp beforehand.

He showed up two hours late for the fight itself, angering the Japanese audience and, once he had finally stepped between the ropes, he spent the entire time joking and taunting his opponent.

Of course, Floyd would go on to dismantle Nasukawa but it was a thoroughly forgettable evening all round.

Fortunately, the Japanese debacle did leave us with one happy memory to cling onto: the promotional video.

The clip, complete with thunder and lightning, portrays Floyd as some kind of overlord watching on as the heroic Nasukawa, who dramatically flung his robe aside, ploughs through smoke and other pyrotechnics.
