Fleetwood Town injury and suspension list ahead of Sheffield Wednesday clash

Following Sheffield Wednesday’s comeback victory against Doncaster on Saturday, focus at Hillsborough quickly turns towards the trip to face Fleetwood on Tuesday evening.

The Owls go into the midweek clash outside the League One play-off places on goal difference and will be desperate to move into the top six.

They will be confident of doing exactly that against one of the division’s relegation-threatened sides who haven’t won any of their last five games.

Although, Stephen Crainey’s side will go into the match on Tuesday fresh after their clash with Lincoln was postponed because of snow on Saturday.

There shouldn’t be too much danger of Tuesday’s match suffering the same fate after the weather conditions have subsided slightly with slightly warmer temperatures expected in that part of the country over the next couple of days.

Fleetwood were preparing to into their clash against Lincoln without a couple of first-team players but Crainey might be able to welcome them back into the squad against Wednesday.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the proposed Lincoln clash, he told the official Fleetwood website : “I think Batts [Dan Batty] is going to miss this weekend, unfortunately, but we’ve got a squad that is able to deal with it and it’s going to give somebody else a chance to come in and play.

“We’ve got a good squad; Dan will be a big miss, but we’ve got players to come and fill that role.

“Joe Garner is still on the grass and he’s getting up to speed so hopefully he’s going to be back sooner rather than later – that’s going to be positive once he’s back available for the squad.

“As a manager, I want as many options as I can, but we are all focused on Saturday with the group that we’ve got and we are hoping
