Five things Man City fans can do to cope with 11-day season showdown

When Manchester City return from the international break, there will be no time to gradually get back up to speed and build rhythm — the fixture Gods have chucked Pep Guardiola's team right in at the deep end.

Between April 5th and 16th City will face Atletico Madrid twice in the Champions League quarter-finals and Liverpool twice, once in a potential league title-deciding game at the Etihad Stadium and once in the FA Cup semi-final.

City will likely do well in at least some of those matches, but regardless, the 11-day period is going to be hell for supporters. Us Blues are a pessimistic lot, so the prospect of huge games against a team as good as Liverpool and a notoriously tough European heavyweight in such a short space of time is rather daunting.

It could be a rather stressful time, so here's a guide on how to get through the week-and-a-half in one piece:

Muted words

The best course of action would be to delete Twitter for a couple of weeks in case of worst case scenario, but we realise it's not easy to just give it up like that. Instead, 'muting' a few words and phrases, so that they don't appear on your timeline during an already stressful period, could help.

The following should be muted: Liverpool, Klopp, quadruple, Fraudiola, Anfield, treble.
