First Division wrap: Galway United maintain 10-point cushion

Galway United maintained their 10-point advantage at the top of the First Division with a 2-0 win away to Wexford as the league enters its summer break.

Goals in either half from Conor McCormack and Edward McCarthy saw the Tribesmen enjoy their 17th win from 19 league outings.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 18th minute when McCormack scored directly from a corner, while McCarthy put the game to bed when David Hurley's quick free is played to McCarthy who fired home to double the advantage.
