Fire crews rush to tackle blaze at commercial property close to Bury centre
Fire crews rushed to a street near to Bury town centre on Sunday afternoon after a fire broke out at a commercial property. Flames ravaged the bricked building, on Manor Street, with clouds of smoke seen escaping from inside.
The road was cordoned off shortly before 4.30pm, as numerous fire engines and used hose reels to dampen the flames. The blaze is just a short distance from The Rock shopping centre.
Fire crews remained in attendance for a number of hours, with multiple fire vehicles parked up along the road outside as they tackled the fire. It is thought it broke out in a one-storey extension attached to an MOT garage.
