Fifth murder suspect named following death of Sadiq Al-lami in Manchester

A fifth man has been charged with murder following the death of Sadiq Al-lami in south Manchester.

Sadiq, 30, died in the early hours of January 23 after officers responded to an incident at the junction near Parrs Wood on the A34 Kingsway in Didsbury. A murder investigation was launched by Greater Manchester Police detectives.

In an update issued today (February 8), police said Yousaf Ahmed of Plaza Boulevard, Liverpool, has been charged with Sadiq's murder. The 24-year-old has been remanded into custody.

He is due to appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court today, police added. Four males were previously charged with murder in connection with Sadiq's death.

Abdul Wahab Babar, 18, of Ashdale Drive, Manchester; Sikander Babar, 24, also of Ashdale Drive; Noraiz Kamal, 18, of Highbank Drive, Manchester; and Sultan Bakr, 22, of Hyde Road, Gorton, all remain in custody.
