Feyenoord insider predicts Celtic Champions League collapse 'just like Rangers' as Rodgers style branded 'childish'

The Dutch media don't fancy Celtic to put a dent in Feyenoord's armour when they travel to the Netherlands next week - with one insider branding the Hoops "childish."

Brendan Rodgers takes his team to Holland on Tuesday hoping to get their Champions League group campaign off to the best possible start. It's not an easy fixture to kick off though at the home of the Eredivisie champions who also have ambitions of fending off Atletico Madrid and Lazio to make the knockout stages. Former Ajax and PSV boss Aad de Mos reckons they'll bat the Hoops off even if he's wary of Rodgers' managerial "cunning."

He believes Celtic will show up with a "childish" approach - and believes they will collapse just like Rangers did when they faced PSV in the playoff and crashed into the Europa League. He said: "Feyenoord can stunt against anyone. In all home games they are capable of winning. Celtic will play childish, attacking.

"Although they do have a cunning coach in Brendan Rodgers. But it falls into the Rangers category. Feyenoord should win twice from that. Simeone and Sarri are scared of De Kuip; they will have the thought of not losing there. They will lurk on the counter and try to win a game via a sleight of hand.

"Feyenoord will eliminate Lazio or Atletico and take second place. They will cash in on the experience of the Europa and Conference League. I think they are going to be surprisingly good in the Champions League. I expect the most from Feyenoord in Europe, then PSV, AZ and the least from Ajax."
