Ferne McCann reveals new-born daughter's unique name with special nod to beloved family member as she explains 'connection'

Ferne McCann has finally revealed her new-born daughter's name - and it's as unique as fans will have expected. The former The Only Way is Essex star announced just over a week ago that she had welcomed her second child into the world, her first baby with fiancé Lorri Haines.

Sharing the wonderful news on social media on Sunday, July 9, Ferne posted a black-and-white video of the new bundle of joy, alongside a caption that read: "It’s a girl," after keeping the gender to herself, as well as the new-born's birth date of July 6.

The joyous news came after Ferne announced back in March that she was expecting her first child with Lorri, who she started dating in 2021. She confirmed the happy news at the time by sharing an exclusive OK! photoshoot with her 2.9 million followers where she showed off her growing baby bump.

And the TV star, who is already a proud mum to her five-year-old daughter Sunday from a previous relationship and started dating Lorri, 32, after meeting in Dubai back in 2021, has now shared her second daughter's name.

According to OK! Magazine who got the first chat with the newly expanded family, Ferne announced her name to the room as Finty Francis Haines-McCann.

"It was on my name list when I gave birth to Sunday," the new mum-of-two told the publication. "I don’t know where I got it from, but when I typed it in [on Google] I saw Judi Dench’s daughter’s nickname is Finty. I’ve always loved it and never heard it anywhere else before."
