Farnborough have signed former Gillingham and Ebbsfleet United defender Max Ehmer
Gillingham’s former captain Max Ehmer has joined another non-league club following his Ebbsfleet United exit.
Ehmer spent last season playing National South football with the Fleet, after ending a long association with the Gills, where he made over 400 appearances.
At 34, Ehmer still feels he has something to offer and has joined another National South side, Farnborough, for the 2026/27 campaign.
Their manager Spencer Day said: “With over 400 EFL games behind him, I’m delighted Max has committed to come to Boro and be a pivotal part on and off the pitch in rebuilding our defence.
“His desire in wanting to come to Boro was a crucial part in my decision, and being locally-based played a huge part.
“A born leader who wants to play week in week out after a season fraught with difficulties, again shows he still has the hunger to move forward.”
With over 400 games behind him in the EFL, German-born defender Max Ehmer brings a wealth of experience to the Saunders Transport Community Stadium
