“Fantastic signing” – Luton Town fan pundit gives his verdict on signing of 27-year-old

Luton Town had a strong season under Nathan Jones’ management last season and a top six finish meant the Hatters took part in the play-offs. 

However, despite their best efforts, Luton weren’t able to overcome Huddersfield across two semi-final legs.

Nevertheless, Jones is keen to build upon the progress his side made this season and push towards the top again and he is making additions to his side in the hope they can help this push.

The club recently announced the signing of Cauley Woodrow who started his career with Luton.

The forward comes from Barnsley where he had a strong season despite a poor season for his side that saw the Tykes relegated to League One.

Following him joining the club, we asked FLW’s Luton Town fan pundit Dylan Bhundia for his thoughts on the addition: “Yeah, fantastic.

“Again it’s all about recruiting pace, power, athleticism. We’ve got the likes of [Elijah] Adebayo, Harry Cornick, Cameron Jerome and all these really powerful front players. But now we’ve got Cauley Woodrow in there who is consistently such a high performing player in that number ten pocket just behind the front two or in a front two as well.

“So clinical around the box, so clever around the box, so dangerous you know, consistently over performed on his expected goals numbers for a number of years and as Nathan Jones said, whenever we play Barnsley, we’re always very aware of him.

“So yeah, fantastic signing. Really like what we’re doing in terms of recruitment, recruiting these really good technical players,
