'Fans weren't happy with that' - Sky Sports share moment Jonathan Moss left THFC crowd furious

Tottenham Hotspur kept their top-four dreams alive with an impressive victory over Leicester City on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It didn’t take long for the scoring to be opened, with Harry Kane putting the hosts ahead midway through the opening 45. Heung-Min Son then doubled the lead on the hour mark, the South Korean then doubled his own tally 10 minutes from time to complete the scoring.

It was a great day all around for Spurs fans, seeing their side notch another win and regain fourth in the table, albeit they could drop back to fifth after Arsenal play later on.

However, the fans were left furious with a decision from Jonathan Moss not to award Lucas Moura with a free-kick after a coming together left him heaped on the floor.

Sky Sports’ Live Commentary picked up on a moment where the Spurs fans were fuming however, the feed said: “52: NO FOUL! Moura and Soyuncu come together on the edge of the box with the Spurs man going down clutching his ankle, but play is allowed to continue. The home fans weren’t happy with that one.”

TIF thoughts on the comment…

It certainly looked like a foul as Caglar Soyuncu tripped Moura on the edge of the box who went down in pain. The referee didn’t see anything wrong with the coming together and waved play on.

It was apparent the fans weren’t impressed with Moss’ decision and may feel the 51-year-old has made the correct decision to step away from the game at the end of the season.

All that matters for Spurs is they have now asked the question of Arsenal later today and taken that all-important fourth place for the time being. It’s now up to their North London rivals to get their three points later on.
