Fans go wild as Miley Cyrus to drop new track on same day as major artist
Miley Cyrus fans are going wild after she announced a new song will be dropping later this month. But the date has proved doubly exciting for some fans after they realised Selena Gomez is also releasing new music on the same day.
Miley announced the release of her new track "Used To Be Young" on social media. Posting a picture of herself, which could be the single's cover, she wrote: "Used To Be Young. August 25th."
She also posted a teaser for a new ABC special called "Endless Summer Vacation: Continued (Backyard Sessions). The TV show will air on the night of August 24 - the day before the single drops.

She said: "In celebration of my new single release Endless Summer Vacation (backyard sessions) continues. Aug 24 @ 10pm EDT on ABC. This time with a retrospective interview sharing stories about the first 30 years of my life in honour of U2BY.
"This song is dedicated to my loyal fans. I love YOU for loving every version of ME. Always, Miley."
The teaser video was also released on YouTube. It can be viewed below.
While fans were excited, many thought the date was familiar to them. It turned out to be the same day Selena Gomez is releasing her new song, "Single Soon". Fans went into meltdown.
Francoi (_fr4nc) said: "Selena and Miley on the same day. Omg I’m living."
Mia Mars (Miamarsyeah) added: "Two of my teenage years girlies are droppin' on 25th! I love that date."
Charalabos Anagnostakis (rarechabos) said: "Miley and Selena coming back the same day? NOT READY."
But the Miley Cyrus Chile fan page (mycyruschile) disagreed. "WE ARE READYYY," it said.
