Family's devastation as boy, 10, and dad killed in Turkey

The heartbroken mother of a 10-year-old boy who died alongside his dad in an accident on holiday has paid tribute to her son who 'loved life.' Dylan Fitzpatrick was on holiday in Alanya, Turkey, with his father Eoin Fitzpatrick, 36, when they were involved in a horror crash on Monday, July 17.

Dylan's mum, Clare Dowling, told The Irish Mirror that Dylan was 'the kindest, kindest boy.' Dylan and Eoin died when the moped they were driving was struck by a bus at around 3.30pm, just hours before they were due to fly back home to Ireland on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene but they were both tragically pronounced dead. Claire has now travelled to Turkey to be with her surviving son, Cian, 14, who was also on holiday with his dad and brother.
