Familiar problems prove an issue for Middlesbrough against Braga as transfer needs are clear

Middlesbrough's tour of Portugal game to a disappointing end in Lagos on Friday evening when they were beaten 3-0 by Braga. A top side who finished fourth in the league last term and reached the quarter final of the Europa League, it was always going to be a tough test for Chris Wilder's men.

In the end, Braga's class, particularly in the final third, was the difference. Boro underperformed, much to the disappointment of their manager, but did still have a 25-minute period in the game leading up to half time where they took a foothold in the game and looked capable of hurting their opponents.

They didn't manage to do that though, as familiar problems carrying over from last season continued to afflict them as they await reinforcements in the transfer market. Here is the game at a glance.
