Facundo Pellistri makes admission on Manchester United future and opens up on Erik ten Hag chat
Facundo Pellistri has spoken to Erik ten Hag about his future at Manchester United and is set to leave the club on loan this season as he seeks more regular playing time.
The 21-year-old came on for a half-hour cameo against Arsenal at the MetLife Stadium on Saturday, but the fact he only replaced the injured Amad in the second half shows how much competition there is for places out wide in this squad.
Pellistri finally made his breakthrough at Old Trafford last season, making 10 appearances in the second half of last season and producing some lively cameos, although he started only one game.
The winger signed for United for £9million in October 2020 but had been capped for Uruguay before making his first-team debut and played in the World Cup in Qatar last season ahead of being given a chance by Ten Hag.

Having had a taste of action, Pellistri knows he now needs more exposure to senior football and is in discussions with the manager about his future.
"Yes, I have spoken to him and we are working together to find the best club, the best way, the best option. I am happy with that way because we are all in the same position," he said.
"[I'm hoping] to play. In my position and at my age, what you want is to play. We are looking forward to find the best solution to do that."
Pellistri spent 18 months on loan at Alaves from January 2021, making 33 La Liga appearances, and there has been plenty of interest in him, especially after catching the eye during the World Cup.
