Fabrizio Romano's tweet on Juranovic seems premature, but his tweet on Jota is the one to watch
Last night, a lot of people were getting a bit worried about Fabrizio Romano’s tweet regarding Josip Juranovic.
There is no doubt that after the season the Croatian International has had, clubs from South of the border will start to take irritating interest.
But we should know better than to get worried about this. It happens every transfer window.
They do this because they’re desperate for us to off load our top talent and no sooner than Romano’s tweet hit the airwaves, Mark Pirie of the Record Sport was on the case.
You can expect plenty more of this speculation now that it’s begun.
Just like the Record attempts to sell players from the Ibrox side in a desperate bid to get much need funds in, they’ll also attempt to raise the attention required to try and shift our top talent.
Not that this ever works, but clearly, neither do their attempts to shift the Ibrox side’s players either.
Either way, I’m not in the slightest worried about the Juranovic rumour.
Put it this way, the player has an amazing season to look forward to.
He has guaranteed Champions League football, a World Cup coming up and a title defence to play his part in.
Celtic know this, he knows this, so you can be pretty guaranteed he won’t be going anywhere just yet.
As Celtic supporters, Fabrizio Romano’s other tweet last night should be the one peaking our interest, as it’s in relation to the move we’ve all been waiting for:
I know people have scoffed at his tweet regarding Juranovic, but to be fair, in that one, I think he’s only stating the obvious, there is and there will be interest from other clubs regarding the player.
That’s inevitable when you have a season like he’s had for club and country.
Romano is a guy who always seems to have his finger on
