New signing Fabio Vieira has reassured Arsenal fans after being pictured in a moon boot.
The Portuguese midfielder was one of the Gunners' first signings of the season, joining from Porto in a deal worth around £30m. However, with Arsenal yet to get their pre-season fixture programme underway, there have already been concerns.
Arsenal's players have returned to training hoping to impress manager Mikel Arteta ahead of the new season. And, while Vieira is yet to test himself on the grass against his new colleagues, the 22-year-od insisted it is only a matter of time until he is able to do so.
Vieira was spotted in the protective boot, prompting fans to fear the worst, He had picked up a foot injury on Portugal under-21 duty earlier in the month, but the extent of the problem wasn't clear to all.
He responded to the concerns, though, hopefully putting fans' minds at ease in the process. "Relax guys, it's just a precaution," the former Porto man posted on Instagram. "It's all okay and [I] will be joining the @Arsenal team for pre-season very soon."
