FA Cup Preliminary Round: Rusthall knock out Ramsgate, wins for Erith Town, Chatham Town, Phoenix Sports, Ashford United and VCD Athletic

Southern Counties East Rusthall produced an FA Cup upset after winning their Preliminary Round Kent derby with Ramsgate on Saturday.

All appeared to be going to plan for Steve Lovell's Ramsgate when Tijan Jadama gave them a 33rd-minute lead.

But two second-half goals in the space of 12 minutes from a Louis Anderson free-kick and James White turned the game on its head.

It's the first time Rusthall have reached the First Qualifying Round in their brief FA Cup history, this is their fifth season in the competition.

They'll be joined in the hat by Erith Town, who also knocked out step 4 opposition after defeating Isthmian South Central Bedfont Sports at Erith Stadium.

Ben Idikayi gave the visitors an early lead but Charlie Clover levelled the scores and Harry Taylor netted what proved to be the winner five minutes into the second half.

There was nearly a third upset but Sittingbourne scored two goals in the last two minutes to rescue a replay at Fisher.

Manny Shoderu and Darnelle Bailey-King struck in the second half for Southern Counties East Fisher but an own goal followed by a Harrison Pont effort - after Harry Harding's initial penalty was saved - kept the Brickies in the competition. The teams meet again on Tuesday night.

Ashford United needed a late goal from Mamadou Diallo to see off Sutton Athletic, 2-1.

Adam Ramaden had given Tommy Warrilow's men the lead four minutes before half-time but Ijah Currie-Wilson equalised almost immediately.

An all-Southern Counties East tie at Culverden saw Phoenix Sports leave it late at Tunbridge Wells, progressing 1-0 thanks to Dave Martin's 87th-minute winner.

Cray Valley ensured there was no upset in their derby at Glebe with a comfortable 3-0 success.
