F1: Apple purchase rights for Formula 1 film starring Brad Pitt and involving Lewis Hamilton
Apple has produced the rights to a Formula 1 film that will star Brad Pitt and also involve Lewis Hamilton as a producer.
The sport has seen a huge growth in recent years thanks to Netflix’s Drive to Survive series and a real push on social and digital platforms from owners Liberty Media.
Indeed, interest in F1 is perhaps at an all-time high and, that said, we’re seeing all sorts of productions being made surrounding the sport.
Clearly, with F1 in the limelight, more and more want a piece of the action and Apple are now ready to try and get a slice of the pie, with a $140 million budget set aside to produce a film on the sport involving Brad Pitt as one of the stars, whilst Lewis Hamilton is set to be involved as one of the producers, alongside some famous film-making names:
