Explore totally wild experiences for the whole family at Knowsley Safari
If you’re looking for a roarsome experience that the whole family will never forget, Knowsley Safari promises a wild day with something for everyone to enjoy, including memorable events and activities- and that’s even without mentioning the 1,200 animals who call the park their home. Now in its 50th year, the park has been welcoming visitors to a “truly wild experience in the North-West” since 1971, and its anniversary year promises to be bigger and better than ever.
While Knowsley Safari may be known as being UK’s number one safari park, as voted by TripAdvisor and home to the UK’s longest safari drive - which stretches an impressive five miles throughout the 550 acre park - there’s a whole exotic and exciting world to discover behind the statistics. On the famous drive, visitors can encounter many animals, including the magnificent pride of lions, rhinos and bison - as well as the cheeky baboons of course - from the comfort and safety of their own car. The drive takes about an hour to complete, and if guests haven’t had their fill of spotting the animals, they can drive around as many times as they like.
For those looking to stretch their legs after the drive, the Foot Safari offers a fantastic opportunity to spot even more animals, visiting giraffes, birds of prey, meerkats and bush dogs along the way. The Tiger Trail gives visitors the opportunity to get a glimpse of one of the most fearsome predators, the Amur Tiger, as they walk through the woodland. Keep your eyes peeled for the tigers in their enclosure, because they’ll have certainly already spotted you!
The best news is a degree in zoology isn’t necessary for learning plenty of animal facts; whilst confident that visitors can probably all tell the difference
