Experienced loose forward Ewers joins Stormers
The Stormers have bolstered their loose forward stocks ahead of the 2024/25 season with the signing of experienced lock Dave Ewers.
Ewers, who can play blindside flank and No 8, has signed a short-term deal with the Stormers. He played over 200 games for English side Exeter Chiefs before joining Irish outfit Ulster last season.
Ewers, 33, starred for the Exeter team that won the Champions Cup and English Premiership double in 2020.

Stormers director of rugby John Dobson said Ewers would add physicality to the Cape side.
"Dave fits the profile of what we were looking for in the short-term, given we are missing some key loose forwards due to injury.
"He has proven himself as a top player with the experience of what it takes to mix it with the best in Europe, so we are looking forward to seeing the impact he will have within our system," Dobson said in a statement.

Ewers added that he was looking forward to joining the Stormers.
"I am originally from Zimbabwe, so to be back down south is very exciting and I am ready to get stuck in for the Stormers.
"There are some incredible players in this squad and hopefully I can add something extra as we gear up for an exciting season."
