Exact time snow will hit where you are as Storm Bert causes disruption the UK
This is the exact time heavy rain and snow is expected in the north of England. Storm Bert has hit the UK today, with high winds, heavy rain and snow battering areas in Scotland, Wales and the north east.
Several weather warnings are in place, including two rare amber alerts, as the Met Office has issued concerns about travel disruption, power cuts and hazards presented by icy surfaces, especially in rural areas.
In an update on Saturday morning, the Met Office said that from 9am this morning, heavy rain and snow is forecast to arrive over northern England and Scotland.

Snow is expected to turn to rain as gales become widespread across the country from midday.
A yellow weather warning for wind and rain is in place from 1pm. This afternoon will remained unsettled, from 2pm heavy rain and gales will sweep across the north west and north east. From 4pm the rain and winds are expected to ease with milder temperatures of 12c.
In a video shared on X, formerly Twitter, a video has revealed the exact time when snow is expected to hit where you live.
Sharing further detail on their website, the Met Office said: "Heavy snow will spread northeastwards on Saturday morning giving significant accumulations, especially on hills. Temporary accumulations of 5-10 cm are possible in the Vale of York, with 10-20 cm on ground typically above 200m, and potentially as much as 20-30 cm on hills above 400m.
"Snow will eventually change to rain in all areas by Saturday afternoon, but may be preceded by a short spell of freezing rain in places adding to the ice risk. Strengthening winds will lead to drifting of lying snow, with difficult travelling conditions
