Ex-Rangers star signs for Cambuslang as boss hails 'brilliant' talent

Paul McColl says he has signed a player who was once the “next big thing at Rangers” after bringing Owen McGinty to Cambuslang.

And he hopes the winger provides a spark that helps them beat derby rivals Thorniewood United and go on a run up the West of Scotland First Division tab le.

“Whitletts were a decent side, so we go into the game with a bit of confidence.

“Thorniewood are similar to us, and are just above us in the table.

“We played against them at the start of the season and played really well, but they’re a good side, they’ve got good players.

“In my opinion we should have won the game, we didn’t, but it was a good game. Hopefully it’s
