Ex India Star Wants Ranji Trophy Scrapped, Goes On Explosive Social Media Rant

However, former India cricketer Manoj Tiwary isn't entirely happy with how the Ranji Trophy is being organised, and has highlighted various challenges with the the marquee event. Tiwary, in an explosive rant on social media, has asked for the tournament to be scrapped from the next season. The Bengal star, however, didn't highlight the specific reason for such a suggestion on social media.

"Ranji trophy should be scrapped from the calendar from the next season onwards. So many things going wrong in the tournament. So many things need to be looked into in order to save this prestigious tournament which has a rich history. It's losing its charm and importance. Tiwary also went live on Facebook to highlight certain issues with the Ranji Trophy. During the live session, he also said that he would end his Ranji Trophy career at the end of this season.
