Everything we know so far about London celeb haunt Sexy Fish’s arrival in Manchester

Opulent, theatrical and glamorous - three words that spring to mind when you think of Sexy Fish, one of London’s most luxurious seafood restaurants. Picture a 13ft jewel-encrusted crocodile, mermaid sculptures and a series of floating fish lamps set against a backdrop of cascading water, and you have a pretty good measure of this lavish dining establishment.

And this autumn, Caprice Holdings, the same team behind The Ivy Collection, will launch in Manchester with a huge new site in Spinningfields. It will be the third global outpost for the brand, which quickly became a magnet for celebrities when it debuted in Mayfair in 2015, and consolidated its star power with a Miami branch in 2022.

The glitzy restaurant is one of several London exports due to open in Manchester over the next year, joining the exclusive members club Soho House and the canalside Treehouse Hotel. Plans have been in place for Sexy Fish to move in ever since the former Armani shop closed in 2021, though the pandemic has delayed the much-anticipated opening.
