Everything we know about Tex Hoy, his deal and impact on other Hull FC players

Tex Hoy will be a Hull FC player in November. The Newcastle Knights playmaker has signed a two-year deal with the Black and Whites, with the club announcing the signing this Monday evening.

It signals the end of a month of talks and negotiations, with Hull Live first reporting that the East Yorkshire club were hoping to bring Hoy to the club for the rest of the 2022 season. However, an injury to Kalyn Ponga put an end to that, with the 22-year-old settling on a move for next year.

He is a pacey player with good ball playing ability, and is also a goal-kicker too having grown up with both Andrew and Matty Johns - the latter of which is his godfather. His Newcastle club profile page describes him as "A full-back or playmaker who boasts crafty skills with the ball."
