Everything Pep Guardiola said at Man City press conference ahead of Newcastle United fixture

Pep Guardiola will address the media on Friday afternoon ahead of Manchester City's third Premier League match of the season against Newcastle United.

City have had a great start to their title defence having picked up successive comfortable victories over West Ham United and Bournemouth in their opening two matches of the campaign.

Erling Haaland has already made a big impact but his lack of involvement in last week's outing did raise concerns in some corners, which Guardiola may well be asked about.

Guardiola may also offer a team news update, with Kalvin Phillips and Cole Palmer missing the Bournemouth win with knocks.

What happened in the past is the past. If you’ve had bad results in the past it means nothing. Newcastle is a project not just for one or two seasons. We’ve seen in this window everyone spends a lot. I think they are here to stay
