Every word from Pep Guardiola press conference as Man City boss apologises to Steven Gerrard

Pep Guardiola has spoken to the media on Tuesday afternoon which started with an apology to Steven Gerrard before discussing Wednesday's massive clash between Manchester City and Arsenal.

The game will be the first league meeting between the division's two top sides this season and the result could have massive consequences in the title race.

Arsenal appeared infallible for months but a loss to Everton followed by a draw against Brentford has seen them drop essential points. As a result, City can move ahead of the Gunners on goal difference should they win at the Emirates.

With another meeting between the sides set for April, a win for the Blues will also mean the destination of the title remains in their hands.

There was little concrete information on whether Erling Haaland will be available following the knock he picked up against Aston Villa but the manager did start his press conference with an apology to Gerrard following his comments last week.
