Pep Guardiola discussed the Club World Cup final, a dinner with Riyad Mahrez, and how Manchester City will cope without Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne vs Fluminense, in his pre-match press conference.

City face the Copa Libertadores champions on Friday in Saudi Arabia, looking to become World Champions for the first time. Guardiola is aiming to win the competition for a fourth time, when he would become the first manager to win the Club World Cup with three separate clubs.

Guardiola discussed the mentality needed to become world champions, how he expects Fluminense to line up, and he was also asked about the latest developments on the European Super League after a European court rules that UEFA and FIFA acted unlawfully in blocking clubs from joining the breakaway league.

City were one of the 12 clubs to sign up for the Super League in 2021, but were the first to withdraw after a monumental backlash, before chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak apologised to fans for the 'mistake' of signing up to the plans.
