Every word Erik ten Hag said in Manchester United press conference as Luke Shaw update given

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has said Luke Shaw could return from injury before the next international break.

The left-back has not featured for United so far this season because of a calf injury he sustained just a few days before the club's Premier League opener against Fulham last month.

It was originally hoped he would be back available for selection immediately after the first international break of the season earlier this month. However, he is still waiting to make his first appearance for United since February.

Elsewhere, Ten Hag has confirmed United's matchday squad against FC Twente on Wednesday night is expected to be made up of the same players that travelled to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace at the weekend, meaning everyone came through Saturday's goalless draw unscathed.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag, during in his pre-match press conference, addressed how he would have preferred to have avoided Twente in the Europa League this season. The Dutch outfit are Ten Hag's boyhood club and he had three spells with them as a player.
