Every player on Sheffield United's pre-season tour to Portugal and the kids who have travelled

Paul Heckingbottom has a full compliment of Sheffield United first team players at the club's pre-season tour in Portugal. The Blades boss also has the added bonus of two new signings and more could follow.

Goalkeeper Adam Davies and midfielder Tommy Doyle boarded the plane to Lisbon on Sunday and defender Anel Ahmedhodzic will hopefully join them in the coming days.

Ahmedhodzic had his medical in Sheffield yesterday and United are hoping to get the deal over the line and fly him out to team up with his new team-mates here at the Cidade do Futebol - United's base for the week.

Free agent Davies, who spent the second half of last season at United, turned down interest from other Championship clubs to sign a two-year contract at Bramall Lane last week.

United moved quickly to secure the services of Doyle, who was reported to be heading to Burnley at one point. However, he agreed to join United and he arrived in S2 on Friday to complete the switch.

Rhian Brewster, Billy Sharp, Oli McBurnie and Jayden Bogle, who all missed the end of last season with injury, have travelled, while Max Lowe, who has been the subject of transfer interest from Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos, is here amid what is an uncertain summer for him.

And Jack O'Connell is also continuing his fight to recover from a double knee operation and was part of the group of injured players going through their rehabilitation programme this morning.

To have all senior players on the tour will be a big boost for the manager, with previous pre-season training camps being affected by Covid and players missing through injury or arriving partway through a tour.
