Every player linked with Huddersfield Town so far in the summer transfer window

The summer transfer window means that a new flock of players will inevitably be linked with last season’s play-off finalists Huddersfield Town – some accurately, and some spuriously.

The Terriers have completed one new centre-back signing so far this summer and their focus is now expected to switch primarily to more attack-minded players, with central midfield and the front three all looking like they could do with new additions.

Here’s the list of players Town have been linked with moves for by media reports over the past few weeks and months, from the actual factual to the absolute nonsense.

We feel confident saying they were definitely interested in the 26-year-old defender, who was linked with a return to the John Smith’s Stadium as far back as January and was duly announced as their first summer signing soon after the season ended.

The gigantic 6’9” centre forward scored in the National League play-off final and has been strongly linked with a move to the John Smith’s Stadium. Having just turned 22 days ago but with no prior experience above non-league, Hudlin would be the right profile of player to go through Town’s B team system.

Halifax boss Chris Millington has confirmed that the Terriers have made a bid but said that a deal is currently ‘a long way off’, meaning there is still work to be done to get the young left-sided centre-back in the door.

We understand Town are interested in taking the talented 19-year-old midfielder on loan from the Etihad, but they are likely to face stiff competition for his signature.
