Everton: 'Very worrying' - Fears emerge over 37-cap Goodison Park star

Something has happened with Everton midfielder Dele Alli in recent months, according to Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge.

The 37-cap England international made the January switch from Tottenham, but he’s still waiting to make his first Premier League start for the Goodison Park outfit.

Having lost his place under Antonio Conte, the 26-year-old moved to Merseyside hoping to get his career back on track following a testing final few years in north London.

Alli had gone from being a two-time PFA Young Player of the Year winner and a regular in the England setup, to nothing more than a squad player since Mauricio Pochettino left Tottenham.

He did play 65 minutes on his debut against Newcastle in early-February, but since then he’s made just five substitute appearances.

And in recent weeks, Alli has been completely overlooked by Lampard, who’s left him on the bench for their last five Premier League games.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I don’t know the answer anymore, he’s not a kid. It’s very worrying. I couldn’t tell you what’s happened. Everyone has got an opinion as to why he’s not playing well.

‘He’s been clubbing too much, he’s this, he’s that’. Well, some of the best players in the world have a good social life. Something’s happened, or too much too young, and his body can’t do what it used to. One day we might know, or we might never know.”

Despite signing less than three months ago, Everton are already exploring the possibility of axing the midfielder this summer.

According to TEAMtalk, the Toffees are ready to move him on before they need to start paying Tottenham for his services.
