Everton transfer news: Lampard tipped to sign one of Gilmour, Gallagher or Broja next season

Transfer insider Dean Jones has tipped Frank Lampard to bring one of Billy Gilmour, Conor Gallagher, or Armando Broja to Everton this summer.

The trio are all currently out on loan, but are expected to return to Chelsea, Lampard’s former club, at the end of the season.

Lampard has already utilised the loan market, bringing Donny van de Beek to Goodison Park on deadline day. And with the Toffees boss set to have a lack of funds to spend in his first full transfer market this summer, temporary signings could continue to be the way forward for Lampard.

When he was manager of Derby, he signed Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori, who went on to help the Rams finish in the top-six before losing in the play-off.

Therefore, with money tight and big transfer fees unlikely, Lampard might opt to sign some of his former players.

Lampard reuniting with Gilmour wouldn’t come as a major surprise. Not only did he hand the Scotland international his Premier League and Champions League debut, but he spoke highly of the youngster on numerous occasions and could get his career back on track following his struggles on loan at Norwich.

Gilmour hasn’t impressed as much as the likes of Gallagher and Broja, who’ll either be targeting a permanent spot in Thomas Tuchel’s squad next season or a more appealing loan move than Everton, but Jones has tipped one of the trio to be playing their football at Goodison Park in 2022-2023.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Frank Lampard will keep a close eye on Gilmour, Broja and Gallagher situations at Chelsea over the summer. I’ll be amazed if at least one of them doesn’t join Everton by next season.”
