Everton's Salomon Rondon targeted by Real Mallorca
Everton striker Salomon Rondon is a target for Spanish side Real Mallorca.
The 32-year old was signed last summer by former manager Rafa Benitez and has struggled to win over Everton fans after missing part of last pre season with injury.
He scored just one goal in 20 league appearances for the Toffees last season as they narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship.
Though Rondon battled back to fitness his season finished prematurely after he was sent off against Brentford.
The Venezuela international has one year left on contract with the option for another year and is eager to make amends for an indifferent season at Goodison by getting a good pre season under his belt.
However, Frank Lampard is expected to overhaul his attack among other areas and that could push Rondon closer to the exit.
Mallorca are coached by the experienced Mexican Javier Aguirre who knows Rondon well from his previous spells in Spain with Las Palmas and Malaga.
The striker enjoyed the most fruitful spell of his career at Aguirre's Malaga a decade ago, scoring 25 goals in 67 La Liga appearances across two seasons on the Spanish coast.
Mallorca are monitoring developments between Rondon and Everton along with other La Liga sides as they consider making an offer for the 6ft 2ins striker.
