There is nothing positive to say about Everton star Dele Alli right now, claims journalist Dean Jones.

The 25-year-old has struggled since joining the Toffees from Tottenham in the January transfer window, and Jones feels he has to quickly do something as his career continues to regress.

Amid his struggles at Everton, reports have emerged suggesting that Alli could already be set for a move away from the club.

According to TEAMtalk, the Merseyside outfit are ready to axe the 6 ft 2 attacking midfielder to avoid paying Tottenham a single penny for his signature.

Alli joined Everton in a deal worth up to £40m. However, according to Sky Sports, that potential transfer fee is structured around performance-related add-ons.

The England international is yet to start a game under manager Frank Lampard, so those performance-related add-ons are looking pretty redundant right now.

Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that there just has not been anything positive to say about Alli for a while now and that the former Spurs man has to stop this career decline that he is on.

Speaking to GMS, the transfer insider said: “Dele really has to prove at this point which direction his career is going to go in because it’s certainly regressing right now. There’s been nothing positive to say about him for quite a while.”

It is not impossible. There is still time left in the season, and he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract at the club, so he could get another campaign if the Toffees do not decide to sell him in the summer.
