Everton man makes Manchester United contract demand as Sir Jim Ratcliffe sent transfer message
Neal Maupay has hilariously put himself forward to join Manchester United this summer.
The 27-year-old striker, who's currently on loan at Everton from Brentford, hasn't been linked with a move to Old Trafford in any way, shape, or form, but one supporter has tried to sign him for the Red Devils.
On Tuesday evening, Maupay posted a video to X, which is formerly known as Twitter, of himself at a driving range. The Frenchman racked up over half a million views in less than 24 hours, with lots of fans poking fun at his shot, which he somehow managed to chip at a 90-degree angle.

One reply from a user, who goes by @LARSENMUFC, stood out in particular, asking Maupay if he's happy for a squad role at Manchester United on EAFC 24 – a video game previously known as FIFA. On career mode, they initially signed the striker on loan but now want to secure his signature on a permanent basis.
Under Maupay's tweet, @LARSENMUFCwrote: "Neal, I signed you on loan for my Manchester United career mode and I’m wondering if you are happy to stay as a rotation option? I’m happy to make the deal permanent as-long you accept the squad depth role. Lmk."
The forward's reply reached two and a half million people on X, raking in over 35,000 likes. He hilariously replied: "With the wages they pay?! Where do I sign mate [crying with laughter emoji]."
While Maupay hasn't been linked with a move to Old Trafford recently, his Everton teammate Jarrad Branthwaite has. The 21-year-old defender, who sees his contract at Goodison Park expire in 2027, has featured 32 times
