Everton 'explore Harry Maguire loan offer' and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Everton have explored the possibility of signing Harry Maguire on loan for the season, according to reports.

The Toffees are keen to strengthen defensively, with Conor Coady's loan not being made permanent and Yerry Mina also leaving upon the expiration of his contract. They have welcomed Jarrad Branthwaite back to Goodison Park, however, who spent last season at PSV.

Although United are not actively pursuing an exit for Maguire, they would be open to an offer that suits them. After initially valuing the 30-year-old at £50million, it is believed they would accept a bid of around £30m.

Everton are said to be among a number of Premier League sides eyeing a move, but financial concerns mean such a bid is unlikely to come from Merseyside. However, according to Football Insider, they are discussing the possibility of a loan offer.

There is no detail as to whether that deal would include an option or obligation to buy Maguire come the end of his loan spell. West Ham are also interested in the centre-back, but again are unwilling to stump up £30m.

Elsewhere, the Sun reports that United will let Matej Kovar leave this summer with Hull City and Red Star Belgrade both interested.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Sparta Prague, where he made 28 appearances and won the Czech First Division. But despite a couple of impressive spells in pre-season, the young goalkeeper is thought to be allowed to leave permanently.

The report adds that Radek Vitek could be allowed to leave on loan, with Accrington Stanley leading the race.
