Everton: £50k-a-week star could be the new Dave Watson at Goodison Park

Former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer believes James Tarkowski would be a good signing for Everton and has compared him to Toffees legend Dave Watson.

The English centre-back is out of contract in the summer, giving Frank Lampard a great opportunity to snap him up from Burnley.

The arrival of Tarkowski could pave the way for Ben Godfrey to leave, with the 24-year-old recently being linked with a move to Tottenham.

According to The Telegraph, Spurs are eyeing Godfrey, as well as his Everton
