Eurovision Song Contest fans claim to have spotted iconic film reboot thanks to Estonia's performance

Viewers of the Eurovision Song Contest were left thinking an iconic film was having a reboot during Estonia's performance. The 68th edition of the Contest took place in Sweden on Saturday night (May 11), a year after the UK had the pleasure of hosting the epic event in Liverpool.

Following Loreen’s victory in the city in 2023 with the song Tattoo, Eurovision 2024 took place at Malmo Arena in the coastal city. It is the seventh time Sweden has hosted the world's biggest music event and also happens to fall 50 years after Abba won the competition with their hit track, Waterloo.

It was Victoria, the Crown Princess of Sweden who opened the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 live from Malmo Arena as she said: "Good evening. It’s my great honour to welcome you all to Sweden. I hope you will enjoy the show and I wish all the contestants the best of luck."

The competition soon got underway and it was Sweden's act Marcus & Martinus who kicked off the competition with their performance of Unforgettable. But a few acts later and Estonia's 5MIINUST x Puuluup took to the stage with '(nendest) narkootikumidest ei tea me (küll) midagi'.

And their choice of attire got people thinking of Will Smith and his 1997 Action/Sci-fi
