European champions Real Madrid splash £85m on Monaco star as second summer signing is announced
The 22-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League as both Liverpool and Manchester United showed interest, but ultimately it was the European champions who got the deal over the line.
A Real Madrid statement read: "Real Madrid CF and AS Monaco have agreed on the transfer of the player Aurelien Tchouameni, who will be linked to the club for the next six seasons.
With Marcelo, Isco and Gareth Bale leaving the Spanish capital upon the expiry of their contracts, Carlo Ancelotti is continuing to rebuild his side as they look to defend their domestic and continental titles.
