Europa Conference League quarter-final draw details as Leicester City beat Rennes in round of 16

Leicester City will discover their next two opponents in the Europa Conference League on Friday after squeezing past Rennes in the last 16.

Despite a 2-1 defeat to the French side on Thursday evening, City secured their passage to the quarter-finals thanks to their 2-0 win at the King Power Stadium last week. The Foxes are now though to just their second European quarter-final ever.

They won’t have to wait long to find who they will be playing next. The draw for the last eight takes place on Friday, while the semi-finals will also be drawn. Here are all the details you need to know.

The draw will be on Friday, March 18, at around 2pm UK time. It will be conducted at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, and will be streamed live here.

Not only will the quarter-final ties be drawn, but the semi-finals too. Each quarter-final clash will be numbered one to four and paired with another last-four match-up. Then, a draw will be made to determine which potential semi-finalists will be the ‘home’ side in the final in Albania, which UEFA say they are determining for “administrative reasons”.

Not this time. While the last-16 draw was seeded, any club can face any other this time, including sides from their own country. That’s no problem for City though, as they are the only English team left in it.

Here are the last-16 ties that will be concluded on Thursday, with the teams at home in the second leg listed first.

Bodo/Glimt; Leicester City; PSV Eindhoven; Marseille; Feyenoord or Partizan Belgrade; Roma or Vitesse; LASK Linz or Slavia Prague; Gent or PAOK.

The final four last-16 ties are taking place at the time of writing on Thursday evening.

The two quarter-final legs will be played on Thursday, April 7 and Thursday, April
