Ethan Ennis confirms severe Manchester United injury setback
Manchester United academy star Ethan Ennis has confirmed that he has torn his anterior cruciate ligament and will be faced with a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Ennis, 17, joined United a year ago from fierce rivals Liverpool and was part of the exciting squad that won the FA Youth Cup last season.
The teenage forward netted 10 goals for the U18s side and was set for a prominent role in the side this season, with many other youngsters moving up the youth ranks ahead of him.

Ennis had enjoyed a successful pre-season too, netting the winning goal as United defeated Northern Ireland to win the Super Cup NI three weeks ago.
However, Ennis is now expected to miss the majority of the campaign, if not all of it, after he confirmed his devastating injury news on social media.
"I wanted to post a message to explain that it has now been confirmed that I have ruptured my ACL," he wrote on Instagram.
"Despite the initial disappointment, I have a clear view of what the next steps are and how long my recovery will take.
"In football, as in life, I believe that everything happens for a reason! With difficulty comes opportunity. I am motivated to engage with the process and will return stronger, fitter and better than ever.
"With the support of my family, agents, and friends along with everyone at Manchester United I will have a successful rehabilitation and I am looking forward to getting started."
