Erling Haaland chant and other moments missed from Man City's disappointing draw with Nottingham Forest

Manchester City have been left bitterly disappointed on Saturday as they threw away two points in a draw with Nottingham Forest.

City took the ascendency in the title race earlier this week when they defeated Arsenal but the Gunners responded well by twice coming from behind to beat Aston Villa and reclaim top spot. The Blues knew they would once again climb to the summit if they defeated Forest and things looked to be going to plan.

Pep Guardiola's side dominated the first half with 86 per cent possession and took the lead late on through Bernardo Silva. That continued into the second but City continued to waste several great chances and it began to feel inevitable that it would be costly.

So it would prove late on as Chris Wood grabbed a late equaliser with Forest's only shot on target to ensure Arsenal keep their two-point advantage in the title race.

Grealish and Mahrez meet the locals

Jack Grealish wasn't exactly a popular figure at the City Ground having once played on loan at city rivals Notts County and of course his long tenure at Aston Villa but before the match got underway it was a different story.

Grealish and Riyad Mahrez were taking their usual pre-match stroll prior to the warm-ups and both forwards took the time to stop and sign autographs for the waiting Forest youngsters pitch side. Classy.

Forest fans take it to City

It was a raucous atmosphere in the City Ground well before the roof was blown off with the late equaliser and the Forest faithful were taking it to City throughout with some classic chant banter.
