Man City Jack Grealish signs new boot deal with Puma after leaving Nike

Manchester City attacker Jack Grealish has signed a new boot sponsorship deal with sports manufacturers Puma after the England ace parted ways with Nike equipment.

The 27-year-old wore Nike boots since he was a teenager, but he has been wearing Puma boots for the Blues in recent weeks - including against Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon.

Grealish has several brands he is an ambassador for including Gucci, Bose headphones and Airwayz. His stock has risen in recent years after moving to City and featuring regularly for England.

The City ace becomes the latest high-profile player to sign with Puma, with the roster also including Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar and Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann. His Blues teammate, Kyle Walker, also wears Puma boots.

On Sunday, Puma teased Grealish's sponsorship by dropping several hints on social media. The first 'tip' was an England flag, alongside the caption: "It might be coming home for him one day."

The following tweet read: "He wears number 10."

Then on Monday morning, Puma tweeted a video showing Grealish kitted out in Puma gear alongside the message: "We’re delighted to announce that Jack Grealish is a PUMA.

"Welcome to the FAM, Jack."

Grealish himself also tweeted: "Here we go. Proud to join the PUMA Fam!"

In signing for Puma, Grealish has signed with the same manufacturer as City's shirt supplier. The Blues agreed a long-term kit deal with the German company, who replaced Nike from the 2019/20 season onwards in a 10-year agreement worth a reported £65m per season.
