Erling Haaland backed to exceed Harry Kane goal tally during Man City career
Erling Haaland has been tipped to “go on to be better than Harry Kane at scoring goals” at Manchester City. The striker was unveiled as a City player for the first time last week following his £51m switch from Borussia Dortmund where he scored 86 goals in 89 games.
He is expected to challenge for the Golden Boot next season as his club vies for a third successive title. Kane has finished as the Premier League’s top scorer on three occasions, and is also chasing the England all-time record too.
He has netted 247 goals in 384 matches for Tottenham, 183 of which have come in the league. However, speaking on his podcast, Ben Foster believes Haaland will potentially surpass his ratio.

“Man City getting Haaland - if you had to pick one player you could almost guarantee Man City down to the ground it’ll have to Erling Haaland,” he said. “Erling Haaland I think could go on to be better than Harry Kane at scoring goals.
“Once Man City find a way of working it, a system that works he could hit the ground and just absolutely smash it next season. I’m looking forward to seeing him play because he is a beast, he’s a brute, he will bully so many people.”
