Erik ten Hag warned why Manchester United players 'won't relish' facing Sheffield United

Manchester United have been predicted to return to winning ways in the Premier League tonight.

The Reds face Sheffield United at Old Trafford as they look to get their first win in the top-flight since March 9. Since then, United have drawn three games and suffered one defeat in their last four league matches.

That run of form has seen Erik ten Hag's side fall behind Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur in the battle to secure a top-four finish. Now the Reds have just six Premier League fixtures remaining, as well as an FA Cup final against City next month.

United are currently seventh in the table and 16 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa with just six fixtures left to play. Securing Champions League football, as a result, has become increasingly unlikely depending on where England stands in UEFA's coefficients for the extra spot.

Ahead of United's clash against the Blades, Chris Sutton has predicted that the Reds will secure a 2-0 win at Old Trafford. The former Blackburn Rovers and Celtic striker has explained why he believes the fixtures could pose problems for United.

"I am going to predict a Manchester United win here," Sutton told BBC Sport. "There was a guy who was quite abusive to me on X so I promised him I would pick Manchester United victories for the rest of the season after I backed Coventry to beat them in the FA Cup.
